TOMSK, Sep 3 – RIA Tomsk. Scientists of Beijing Normal University and Tomsk State University (TSU) will conduct joint researches and find out how studying of the Russian and Chinese languages influences mathematical abilities of a person, the vice rector for programs of development of TSU Dmitry Sukhushin reported.
According to him, scientific laboratories of cognitive researches of language of TSU will participate in the project. The agreement was reached during the international seminar "Genetically informative longitudinal researches of mental development of children at early age" which passed on the basis of the International Center for Research in Human Development of TSU."During the seminar scientists agreed about several joint projects. One of them is studying of how various languages influence spatial and mathematical cognition of the person. Now there are most different hypotheses about it. Joint researches which will carry out TSU scientist and Beijing Normal University have to check it out", - he told.
Sukhushin added that, perhaps, scientists will study not only influence of the Russian and Chinese languages on ability to mathematical training, but also English and Finnish during researches.
