TOMSK, Feb 3 – RIA Tomsk. Robotics development can become one of the main themes of the third forum of young scientists U-NOVUS which be held in May, 2016, the deputy governor on scientific and educational complex and innovation policy Michael Sonkin told reporters on Wednesday.
The second forum of young scientists U-NOVUS held in Tomsk on 21-22st May, 2015 under the aegis of regional administration and Association of innovative regions of Russia. In addition to discussions and exhibitions of products, within the scope of forum a variety of entertainment programs were held: for example, Science Game quest, "Night of science" in universities and scientific research institutes, party "Study in Tomsk". The third forum is to held on 19-20th May, 2016.
"There are some variants of the concept, the discussion is at the level of the governor of the Tomsk region. <...> Last forum has passed under aegis of import substitution, now it can be a robotics", - Sonkin said at the press-conference in the media centre of RIA Tomsk.
He has informed that within the scope of a forum will be opened Siberian center of robotics - a branch of the National centre, also will be presented World championship on robot football, which is to be held in Tomsk in 2018.Deputy governor noted that the Tomsk region in March will apply on World Cup holding, but regardless of the decision of the international commission the region will hold competitions of any level among robots-football players.
