TOMSK, Apr 26 – RIA Tomsk. Teams from China and Kazakhstan will take part in the first Russian competitions RoboCup in the framework of which will pass the World Cup of robots, the rector of Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) as the coordinator of action, Alexander Shelupanov has told to journalists on Monday.
Earlier it was reported that the project of holding the World Cup-2018 in robofootball of RoboCup in Tomsk is approved by the regional authorities and the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Livanov. The competitions RoboCup of 2016 in Tomsk will be will take place within the framework of forum U-NOVUS and will represent national selection round which winners will be able to participate in the international cup-final.
"According to preliminary data, there will be about 100 commands to participate in these competitions (RoboCup-2016). These are teams from Tomsk, from other cities of Siberia and the Far East, from St. Petersburg, China", – Shelupanov has told.
According to the university, also for participation in RoboCup two teams from Kazakhstan were declared. All foreign robotics plan to compete in football of robots.The rector has specified that competitions, as well as was planned earlier, will pass in three directions: Junior Soccer (football of robots), Junior Rescue (competition of robots rescuers), Junior Dance (the dramatized representations). Fields for competitions of robots football players and rescuers, and also scenes for dancing numbers with participation of robots will be equipped in the Palace of shows and sport.
The third forum of young scientists U-NOVUS will take place on May 12-13, 2016 in Tomsk and will be devoted to robotics subject. Among the planned events of a forum there is an opening of the Siberian center of robotics, a national stage of the international competitions in robotics of RoboCup Russia Open 2016, the All-Russian Science Game.
