TOMSK, May 13 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) will print on the 3D-printer cases for devices from "swarm" of ultra-small satellites (CubeSat), which are planned to be put into the Earth orbit, told journalists the adviser to the president of RSC "Energy" Alexander Chernyavsky during a forum of young scientists U-NOVUS – 2016.
Earlier it was reported that on April, 3 the ship "Progress MS-02" delivered to ISS the nanosatellite which was manufactured in honor of the 120 anniversary of TPU. It is the first Russian spacecraft which elements are made on the 3D-printer. It was also reported that scientists intend to start a "swarm" of such devices which could work in an orbit together.
"We want to launch this year two more satellites – the first part of "swarm". We have to work systems of coordination, a control system and other. On the first satellite ("Tomsk-TPU-120") we have worked a removal stage (in space) – durability, the corresponding dynamic characteristics. Thus we certified the case", - Chernyavsky told.
Now, according to him, cases for similar satellites will be manufactured by Tomsk Polytechnic University. "Stuffing" will make other members of the Russian consortium on creation of "swarm" of minisatellites, in particular, Southwest State University (Kursk) and others."This year we try to plan delivery (to ISS) of two satellites. They will be made by September. The cases certified for future groups of satellites will manufacture and already makes Tomsk Polytechnic University", - the interlocutor noticed.
Chernyavsky told also that the next step for the Tomsk nano-satellite will be the launch into space from the outer wall of the ISS. It isn't excluded that it can occur this year if an exit of the Russian astronauts in an outer space is planned. There are no such plans for the Russian program yet.
