TOMSK, Jun 29 – RIA Tomsk.Tomsk State University (TSU) will be the first to begin to train masters according to the interdisciplinary program devoted to transmitting chemical and biomedical technologies, the press service of the higher education institution reported on Wednesday.
"The new educational program will train specialists in the field of development of new chemicals and materials of biomedical appointment, modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods and means. <…> There are 10 state-subsidized places, fee-paying placeas are also planned", – it is said in the message.
It is specified that there are no direct analogs of the program in Russia. It is realized on the basis of the international laboratory of transmitting cellular and molecular biomedicine of TSU. The Tomsk master program is based on the realized at Heidelberg University (Germany).It is noted that the TSU program is added with the courses by methods of receiving biologically active connections, chemical fundamentals of molecular biology and genetic engineering, marketing bases in chemical and pharmaceutical industry and others. At the same time, students will be able to choose more than a half of training course, having arranged education under the professional interests.
"Such experts not just know how to receive new material, but also <…> what happens to this material in an organism, which processes can be started at the level of immune system. Know which substances can be used as components and which can not", – the Head of the Laboratory of transmitting cellular and molecular biomedicine Irina Kurzina is quoted in the massage.
It is added that among teachers of the program there are Russian and foreign scientists and practicing doctors. Lessons will be held not only in TSU, but also in Tomsk Cancer Research Institute and Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Medical Science. Partners of the program are universities of Heidelberg and Muenster (Germany), Leiden University (Netherlands), it gives to students the chance of training abroad.
