Cuba changed and became more loyal to the largest capitalist countries; after the death of great revolutionary the country is waited by regime mitigation, the associate professor of Tomsk State University contemporary history department, candidate of historical sciences Lyudmila Smolyakova considers.
According to the federal media, on Saturday, November 26, the leader of "the island of freedom" Raúl Castro announced the death of the brother Fidel who was earlier holding presidential post.
"Cuba will change – there will be no such rigid regime which was set by Fidel in due time. Cuba will be built in more world processes. Deformation of the regime is already goes the natural course. It changes after coming to power of Raul – easing from the USA, entrance to the world communities", – Smolyakova told.
She added that during the board Castro could bring up generation of citizens, free from influence of America, who at the same time won't allow in the closest years the restoration of the dictatorship existing in Cuba since the end of the XIX century. In the future Cuba will become more open for the world and, perhaps, will follow the way of socialist China.
"Of course, the slogan "Socialism or Death" works so far, but even such socialist countries as China are ready to communicate with the world and to open the economy for the foreign capital", – the interlocutor of the agency emphasized.
Fidel Castro - is the leader of the Cuban revolution which overthrown military dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. Under his management (1959 - 2006) Cuba was transformed into the one-party socialist state and began to be called as "the island of freedom", the industry and a private property in the country were nationalized. Fidel Castro considered the purpose to fight against world capitalism. In 2006 for health reasons Castro left the presidential post and delegated the powers to his brother Raul.
