TOMSK, Dec 5 – RIA Tomsk, Karina Sapunova. Siberian metanolny chemical company (LLC Sibmetakhim, structure of JSC Vostokgazprom) officially opened production of formalin and urea formaldehyde concentrate (UFС-85) after upgrade on Monday, which is used in a wood-processing industry, the correspondent of RIA Tomsk tells.
Earlier it was reported that Sibmetakhim realized the project with cost about 1 billion rubles on factory upgrade. The reconstruction of production of formalin and UFС-85 was complete in August 2016. As representatives of the company explained to journalists, the factory stopped for upgrade at the end of 2013, however it was actually constructed anew. Permission to its commissioning was got in October of the 2016th.
"Today Sibmetakhim is the largest entity, a leader in production. Upgrade allowed to solve a number of questions: increase in production, technological safety. <…> As far as I know, formalin and pitches issued here will be applied in the Tomsk region", – the governor Sergey Zhvachkin told at the factory opening, having added that products will be demanded on wood-processing factories under construction.
According to the deputy general director for production Alexander Vdovin, the company will make up to 15 thousand tons of formalin and to 65 tons of UFС-85 a year. Former technologies did not allow to make this concentrate. He explained that products of Sibmetakhim intend for use in a wood-processing industry – in particular, for production of laminate, wood chipboard and other.Among potential consumers are companies of forest industry of the region: Tomslesdrev, Partner Tomsk and Asinovo wood processing plant. According to Vdovin, products of the Tomsk entities will be safer than a number of analogs and thanks to it can be used even in childcare centers.
LLC Sibmetakhim makes chemical products (methanol, formalin, UFС). Initial raw materials is the natural gas, extracted on fields of Vostokgazprom. Consumers of products of Sibmetakhim are the entities of the Tomsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk regions, Krasnoyarsk Krai and Kazakhstan.
