TOMSK, Jan 4 – RIA Tomsk. Specialists of the International laboratory of Vision Systems TSU (Tomsk State University) create a robotic platform for evacuation of people and collecting of dangerous objects during rescue operations, the representative of the press service of the university reported RIA Tomsk.
"The robotic platform on crawler tracks is capable to move with a speed up to 40 kilometers per hour. Its maximum loading capacity makes more than 100 kilograms. In case where there is a need of transportation of injured person, the platform could expand and it is possible to place on it the person growth up to two meters", – the interlocutor of the agency quoted the head of the laboratory, professor Vladimir Syryamkin.
According to him, the system of technical vision which the robot equipped, helps it to estimate the area and to overcome obstacles. Loading on a platform will be carried out by means of the manipulator which is controlled by the operator.Now the rescuers who are engaged in elimination of consequences of emergency situations quite often should evacuate people from a disaster zone to the safe place on a stretcher. It is especially difficult in cases where the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations works in gas masks and protective equipment, for example, at a spill of acid, emissions of dangerous substances in air.
It is supposed that in the future the platform will be equipped with several developments of the faculty of innovative technologies (FIT) of TSU. First of all, the device of automatic control of resuscitation actions which the faculty and the "Diagnostics+" company developed by the request of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. It analyzes efficiency of cardiopulmonary resuscitation by analyzing the signals of the presence of heartbeat and breathing signals from acoustic sensors.
"When the robot isn't involved in elimination of consequences of emergency, it won't stand idle, it can be used in many other spheres", – Syryamkin noted.
