TOMSK, Jun 15 – RIA Tomsk. The Faculty of Informatics of Tomsk State University (FInf TSU) together with the international company Space-O Technologies developed a new training course on mobile development based on the similar program of Stanford University (USA), the press service of the university said on Thursday.
According to TSU, Space-O Technologies - is the international group of IT companies with representations in Russia, India, the United States and Vietnam. In Tomsk one of the company's offices is working, the founder and the head of which is a former student of FInf TSU.
"The company was interested in that graduates of TSU mastered the process of mobile development, obtained the appropriate competencies and formed the labor market of mobile developers in Tomsk. As a result, a partnership project was established between the Faculty of Informatics and the company", - the vice-rector of TSU for informatization, the head of the Department of Software Engineering TSU Oleg Zmeev is quoted in the message.
It is specified that the course on mobile development is prepared on the basis of a similar course of Stanford University and is included in the curriculum of TSU in the direction of "Software Engineering".According to the press service, cooperation with Space-O Technologies is conducted in several directions: scholarships for students, graduate students and young teachers, arrangement of branded audience in the second building of TSU and iMac-class at the Scientific Library of Tomsk State University.
The market of mobile development is considered to be one of the most dynamically developing. According to the Openbusiness portal, following the results of 2016 the cost of application purchases is estimated at 52 billion dollars, and advertisers expenses - at 77 billion dollars. In 2017 the world market is expected to grow up to 166 billion dollars.
