TOMSK, Aug 7 – RIA Tomsk. Researchers of Institute of High Technology Physics of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) received grant of Russian Science Foundation (RSF) for technology of cleaning of smoke bursts of TPPs by means of electron beams; within two years scientists plan to develop impulse accelerator for small TPPs, press service of university reports.
"Some regularities of cleaning of gases with use of impulse electron beams are already formulated and in Russia, and abroad, but we do not know any case of use of accelerators for cleaning of combustion gases in industrial scale … It is about removal of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxide", – the press service quotes the project manager Roman Sazonov.
According to him, the accelerators
of electrons of the continuous action used for cleaning of gases are expensive
installations and their application for cleaning of bursts today is
economically inexpedient. The task of the experts of TPU is to develop a
technical project for release of the accelerator corresponding on productivity
and cost to tasks of cleaning of bursts of small combined heat and power plants
during a series of experiments.
"We haven't met such complex
research, and its results will be especially relevant for small heat supply
facilities", – Sazonov claims.
It is added that the project of TPU
"Plasmochemical Purification of Combustion Gases with Use of Pulse
Electron Beams" got support of the RSF. The grant is for two years, its
total amount is 3 million rubles.
