TOMSK, Nov 10 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) signed agreements with Smart City cluster (Casablanca, Morocco), Tomsk alliance Smart City and Tomsk professional community IT City and local company Userstory; the document provided joint projects for development of digital society, the press service of the university reported on Friday.
Signing of agreements took place within the VIII conference with the international participation of IT specialists and business IT City which started in Tomsk on Friday. The forum subject is "Digital future".
"Within the agreement we will develop various projects. Today we will discuss a new project – "city which studies". Combination of efforts will allow to create a new platform which will give new opportunities of training during all life, at any age for all citizens, for assessment of their competences. It is absolutely other way of the organization of training and knowledge acquisition in Tomsk", – the rector of TSU Eduard Galazhinsky is quoted in the message.
According to him, agreements will also help to develop the project "Live laboratory" starting in Tomsk this autumn and uniting the universities, business, authorities and citizens who develop decisions for changes of the urban environment together. One of the directions of the project is "Smart Street" where Tomsk companies can test the developments.Earlier it was reported that one more agreement was signed by the administration of the Tomsk region and community of the Tomsk IT companies IT City. Developers will help the authorities to solve problems, relevant for the region, by means of digital technologies.
