TOMSK, Feb 1 – RIA Tomsk. The student of the School of Basic Engineering Training of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) from Mongolia Bayaraa Gantsetseg took the second place at the All-Russian Olympiad in the Russian language among foreign students, is reported on the website of the university.
According to the information of the resource, the Olympiad is organized by the Association of Foreign Students and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and passes in two stages. According to the results of the correspondence Internet tour, in which more than 600 foreign students from different cities of Russia took part, 55 strongest students were selected. Among them were eight TPU students - the maximum number of representatives from one university.
The internal stage consisted of two tasks: to write an essay on a patriotic theme, and also to read the text and to form a dialogue with the other participant on its basis.
"Following the results of an internal stage, Mongolian student of TPU Bayaraa Gantsetseg won the second place at the Olympiad, losing the lead to a student from the near abroad", - is quoted in the message Marina Bohonna, the assistant professor of the Russian language department of the TPU School of Basic Engineering Training.It is added that another foreign student of Tomsk Polytechnic University - Bayartuyaa Nominzaya - became the winner of the correspondence round of the III All-Russian Olympiad in the Russian as a Foreign Language, organized by Orenburg State Medical University. The assignments of the Olympiad corresponded to the first certification level of general knowledge of Russian as a foreign language.
