TOMSK, Mar 7 – RIA Tomsk. The delegation of the largest oil and gas company of Kazakhstan KazMunayGas visited Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) and following the results of a visit expressed willingness to cooperate with the university in training and research, the press service of TPU reports on Wednesday.
KazMunayGas – is the Kazakhstan operator for the exploration, production, processing and transportation of hydrocarbons. The company occupies more than a quarter of Kazakhstan's market for oil and gas condensate production, as well as the dominant position in oil refining, pipeline transportation of oil and natural gas in the country.
It is reported that representatives of KazMunayGas visited TPU. They called on the laboratories and branches of Engineering School of Natural Resources, Center for Training and Retraining of Oil and Gas Professionals, and also discussed joint projects.
"Members of the delegation highly appreciated the level of developments and educational programs of TPU. They expressed their readiness to involve TPU for carrying out research in the field of oil and gas exploration and production, as well as participate in retraining and advanced training programs for specialists who have developed in the university", – is said in the report.
It is noted that the delegation was headed by the director general of the largest enterprise of KazMunayGas – JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production – Kurmangazy Iskaziyev, who is the graduate of TPU. According to him, the main direction of the company's cooperation with the university – is the training of personnel."Because we are going to attract innovative companies, our company will not become more advanced. We need trained personnel, people with higher education and having at least three to five years of practical experience, so that they were ready to introduce new technologies", – the press service quotes Iskaziyev.
According to him, to make the KazMunaiGas Exploration Production company grow progressively, it is necessary to train about 700 experts of mid-level. The press service also notes that the delegation was interested in the digital management of drilling fields, preparation of a regulatory framework for oil and gas production.
