TOMSK, Jun 18 – RIA Tomsk. The leadership of Tomsk State University (TSU) and the city of Shijiazhuang (PRC) signed on Monday a memorandum on cooperation in the field of innovation, education and economics; it is planned to open joint laboratories and business incubators, which will promote the transfer of innovative developments, the press service of TSU reports.
It is specified that on Monday the delegation of the city of Shijiazhuang (People's Republic of China) came to TSU with an official visit. The meeting resulted in the signing of a memorandum on cooperation between TSU and the Shijiazhuang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. The document was signed by the vice rector for innovation activities of TSU Konstantin Belyakov and the vice mayor of Shijiazhuang Zhao Wenfeng.
"Today the development of innovation, technological direction of the economy is extremely important for TSU and the region. We hope that after your visit there will be a number of projects, which we will start with joint efforts", – the press service quotes the TSU rector Eduard Galazhinsky.
It is added that the parties intend to consider a question of opening joint laboratories, business incubators, which will facilitate the transfer of innovative developments. There is also a willingness to create an investment fund to support the best start-ups of both sides."We know about the potential of your university long ago and we want to build economic and innovative cooperation ... We are actively developing the directions of medicine, communication technologies, navigation systems and others ... We hope to establish stable relations with your university in these and other areas of development", – Zhao Wenfeng said.
It is also reported that during the meeting in TSU guests were presented with a handbook in Chinese, intended for businessmen of China working in Russia. The edition is developed on the basis of the department of corporate legal practice of TSU. The handbook contains information on the structure of the state system of the Russian Federation, basics of customs, taxation and other types of legislation, is said in the statement.
