TOMSK, Nov 1 – RIA Tomsk. Scientists of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) developed and conducted a training course on safety ensuring in the operation of facilities of the Center for Nuclear Research and Technology being built in Bolivia; university also took part in the pre-qualification selection of personnel, the press service of the university reports on Thursday.
It is noted that TPU – is the only higher education institution in Russia, whose foreign students can perform laboratory work at the operating research nuclear reactor. In addition, the university provides its foreign students with the opportunity to practice at existing nuclear facilities of Rosatom.
"For the first time in the history of nuclear education, TPU developed and conducted a training course on safety precautions at operation of facilities at the Center for Nuclear Research and Technology, being built in Bolivia ... (The classes were held) by the Head of the TPU Training and Methodological Center "Research Nuclear Reactor" Artem Naymushin and the Assistant of the office of a nuclear and fuel cycle Roman Laas", – is said in the statement.
It is specified that the course on nuclear safety for Bolivian nuclear scientists was developed within the framework of the TPU project on the development of English-language nuclear educational programs, which is included in the pool of the educational initiatives which received long-term support of Rosatom.
