TOMSK, Mar 21 – RIA Tomsk. The tourist information center of Tomsk by the summer of 2019 plans to issue a map of the city’s sights in English, a circulation will be 3,000 copies, the press service of the mayor reported on Thursday.
It is specified that the Tourist Information Center in partnership with the Unified Tourist Information System has been issuing a map of Tomsk for more than three years, where it is possible to find major sights, cultural institutions, public places, as well as advertising information about local companies.
"By the beginning of the summer season it is planned to create the first issue of the Tomsk map for foreign tourists ... The planned circulation of the publication - is 3 thousand copies", - is said in the statement.
It is added that the Tomsk Tourist Information Center and the Unified Tourist Information System invite their partners to cooperate in order to place promotional "business cards" on the English version of the city map.
Tomsk was founded in 1604, wooden and stone houses of the XVIII-XIX centuries are preserved in the city. The program for the preservation of wooden architecture currently includes 701 houses, 189 of them - are monuments of federal and regional significance.
