TOMSK, Jul 16 – RIA Tomsk. The Siberian Design Center (SDC) of Tomsk State University (TSU) will give a lecture on alternatives to modern food industry, food consumption and waste disposal on Tuesday; the expert from Yekaterinburg Anna Lychagina will introduce the basics of food design for Tomsk citizens, the representative of the TSU press service told RIA Tomsk on Tuesday.
According to TSU, the gathering of guests for a free lecture – is at 18.45. The venue – is a round-the-clock educational cafe "Kafedra" (Lenin Avenue, 79) at the Siberian Design Center of TSU. Preliminary registration is required.
"On Tuesday, July 16, Anna Lychagina (Yekaterinburg) will give an open lecture "Food Design and Nutrition Experience". The entrance will be free. The lecture will be interesting to all enthusiastic in a new food experiences and innovations in this field, designers who are looking for new areas of work", – the interlocutor of the agency reported.
As Lychagina told RIA Tomsk, food design – is a fundamentally new approach to design in the sphere of food.
"As globalism and fast food get rid of themselves, humanity asks the question: "What will be the food of the future?". The task of food designer – is to propose alternatives to the modern food industry in manufacturing, eating and recycling. For example, household food waste recycling Machine... crushes food remains, turning them into compost for fertilizers", – she said.
According to TSU, Lychagina – is a graduate of the Product Design Studio of the Ural State University of Architecture and Arts. She is involved in food design research. The finalist of the international industrial design competitions TISDC 2017-2018, winner of the Worldskills 2019 competition in the competence of "Industrial Design".Earlier it was reported that the TSU SDC – is the innovative research experimental platform in the field of industrial design and prototyping. It's founded on the basis of TSU in 2017 in Tomsk for the education and training of students according to the international standards.
