TOMSK, Sep 6 – RIA Tomsk. Almost 200 Tomsk IT companies export their technologies abroad, in total more than 600 IT companies work in this area in Tomsk, the head of the region Sergey Zhvachkin said at the opening of the conference "IT City" on Friday.
Earlier it was reported that the conference "IT City" takes place in Tomsk on September 6 and 7. This year its participants, including entrepreneurs, managers and specialists working in the field of information technologies, will be 2,000 people, including 100 speakers.
"We have more than 600 companies in Tomsk that work in the IT sector. Almost 200 of them are exporting technology abroad. We overtook Moscow and St. Petersburg," – Zhvachkin said.
He added that Tomsk IT specialists transfer as much as IT-business of Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk regions and the Republic of Altai to the budget of the Russian Federation. "And that's also a credit to IT companies and the people who do this".
Earlier it was also reported that the "IT City" conference is held by the Tomsk IT companies Aurigma, Sibedge, Lab365, Userstory. The event is organized with assistance of the administration of the Tomsk region and the innovation cluster of Smart Technologies. RIA Tomsk is the information partner of "IT City".
