TOMSK, Oct 3 – RIA Tomsk. "Mezheninovskaya Poultry Farm" LLC exported more than 600 tons of poultry meat and offal to China from May to September 2019; currently, the company is the only Tomsk poultry farm accredited to supply these products to China, Vladislav Fedulov, deputy head of the regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor told RIA Tomsk on Thursday.
According to him, China lifted the ban on the supply of poultry meat from the Russian Federation to the local market in January 2019. The list of Russian enterprises-producers accredited for the export poultry meat to the People's Republic of China, from the Tomsk region included only "Mezheninovskaya Poultry Farm".
"Mezheninovskaya Poultry Farm sent 601.2 tons of poultry meat and offal to China from May to September 2019. All products met the requirements of the importing country. This is the very beginning of sending local chicken to the PRC. We hope that the positive experience of these trade relations will serve as an impetus to the development of export-import relations between the region and the PRC," – Fedulov said.He specified that the delivery of products to the destination was carried out by road, rail and sea transport, in accordance with the veterinary and sanitary requirements of the importing country.
"As far as we know, the plan of the "Mezheninovskaya Poultry Farm" is to supply chicken to China on a weekly basis, but everything will depend on demand. Currently, they have a two-week break in deliveries," – the agency's interviewer added.
