TOMSK, Oct 18 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) together with Roscosmos plan to create a Space Research Center, which should become one of the main sites of the Siberian Federal District (SFD) for training personnel for the rocket and space industry; the discussion takes place at the PromSkills forum at TSU, the university’s press service reports on Friday.
According to the press service, the PromSkills Forum of the Industrial Partners, which opened on October 18 at the Research Library of Tomsk State University, is attended by 26 partner companies of the university. The forum is held in the format of nine round tables on which topics such as the use of remote methods for forecasting deposits and the protection of intellectual property and legal regulation in the field of IT are discussed.
“One of the central sites of the PromSkills forum - is a round table with representatives and enterprises of Roscosmos, including PAO RSC Energia, Information Satellite Systems, scientific and production center "Polyus". Partners discuss TSU’s initiative to create a Space Research Center on the basis of the university ... However, the Center should become one of the main platforms in the Siberian Federal District for training personnel for the rocket and space industry", - is said in the report.
It is noted that the Center will be created in the form of a consortium that will unite universities and research institutes, where a serious groundwork on space topics has already been created.Among the activities of the Center will be the creation of new materials for spacecraft and their means of protection, development of new high-energy systems, improvement of the functional characteristics of structures used in satellite systems. It is also planned to conduct biological and physical experiments to study signs of extraterrestrial life, adds the press service.
