Aeromax – the structure of AFK Sistema for the development of civilian unmanned projects – is ready to take part in the federal project Taiga implemented in the Tomsk region and to work on the development of an unmanned aerial vehicle information system, the press service of the regional administration reported on Wednesday.
Earlier it was reported that since 2018 in the Tomsk region the federal project "Taiga" is being implemented, which envisages the creation of an experimental area of cargo delivery and other tasks using drones in the region. Together with the authorities of the region, it is implemented by the Foundation for Advanced Research (FPI) and the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation. The road map of the project includes several stages until 2023.
"Sergey Zhvachkin held a working meeting in the administration of the region with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aeromax LLC Valeriy Shantsev... (They) agreed to create a working group that will analyze the prospects of Aeromax entering the pilot project Taiga and consider the possibility of creating a regional branch of the company", – the message says.
According to the press service, Aeromax, an innovative competence center of AFK Sistema for the development of civilian unmanned projects, offered the authorities of the Tomsk region the services of a general contractor for the implementation of commercial projects within the pilot area. Namely, the company is ready to engage in the development and implementation of an information system for controlling drones."All over the world the market of unmanned aviation systems is only born. We in Tomsk region are responsible for its formation and development on the scale of Russia and are interested in attracting companies with the best competences in the field of communications to the project. AFK "Sistema" is one of them", – Zhvachkin words are quoted.
According to the official website of AFK Sistema, the company is a large private investor in the real sector of the Russian economy. Its investment portfolio consists mainly of Russian organizations, including telecommunications, retail trade, forest processing, agriculture, high technologies.
