TOMSK, Nov 29 – RIA Tomsk. Rector of Tomsk State University (TSU) Eduard Galazhinsky and technical director of Atomiq Soft JSC Kirill Silkin on the basis of the university opened a Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Industrial Analytics on Friday, the correspondent of RIA Tomsk reports from the scene.
According to the press service of TSU, the tasks of this laboratory include conducting research in the field of big data, developing of new algorithms for big data analyzing, creating effective solutions for "Industry 4.0" using artificial intelligence tools such as machine learning, neural networks, mathematical modeling and others.
"I want to congratulate everyone on this wonderful event. It seems to me that this is a very important decision – combining the efforts of industrial partners and the university to create new technologies and build competencies and train personnel that can work at the forefront of science”, – Galazhinsky said.
He added that it is important for the university that students learn while immersed in the real tasks of industry and the scientific field.
According to him, in the new laboratory it is supposed to conduct experimental design and research and development work involving students and university professors in such fields as mathematics, physics and chemistry. "It is the university (TSU), which combines all these areas, will be able to help in the theoretical base for all these tasks", – he added.
Atomiq Soft JSC – is a Russian developer of software for the automation of technological and production processes. The head office of the company is located in Tomsk, additional offices are – in Ufa and Sarov. The company is engaged in the development and support of its own software product – "Alpha Platforms", on the basis of which more than 1500 systems were implemented at more than 200 objects of various customers.
