TOMSK, Dec 10 – RIA Tomsk. A master's degree program in English in architecture will open at Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building (TSUAB) in 2020, the rector of the university Victor Vlasov told reporters on Tuesday.
"In 2020 we will open a master's degree program in architecture in English. Before that, there were no English-language programs at the university. It has already been formed, teachers are being retrained now ... Perhaps we will tighten up someone from abroad. I think that due to this program the number of students from abroad, including from Europe, will increase", – he said at the press conference in the RIA Tomsk media center.
According to him, there are no state-funded places provided for this program in 2020. At the moment students from China, Mongolia, Turkey, Africa, Algeria and Egypt are studying at the university.
The rector of TSUAB added that in 2019 the university received support from the Ministry of Education of China to open a network program with the Xinjiang Agricultural University in the direction of "Construction", the profile "Industrial and civil construction".
"90 students from China have been enrolled in this program. They will study in China for three years, and last year they will continue their studies at TSUAB. Thus, they will receive diplomas of two universities at once", – Vlasov specified.
