TOMSK, Jul 24 – RIA Tomsk. Seventy-seven passengers left Tomsk on Friday on the "Tomich" named train, which started running again after a break, the head of the train Anatoly Makukha, told RIA Tomsk.
Earlier it was reported that since April 16, due to the coronavirus pandemic and a decrease in passenger traffic, the movement of trains No. 37/38 (named trains "Tomich" running from the capital to Tomsk and back) has been suspended. From July 24, Russian Railways resumed running trains on this route.
"84 people bought train tickets from Tomsk. 268 people bought tickets to Moscow. We usually transport 1600-1650 people in one run (in both directions), this is our first run after the break, so not everyone knows that "Tomich" resumed movement", - the head of the train said.
According to him, in the "Tomich", as before, there are six passenger cars: four compartment and two reserved seats, as well as a restaurant car. The train is serviced by a team of 22 people - the head of the train, train electrician, conductors and employees of the dining car. "When the run was suspended, almost the entire crew did not go to other directions, we all sat at home for almost four months and waited for our trip", - Makukha said.
He added that additional security measures are being taken during a pandemic. Even at the depot, the train is treated with a disinfectant solution both outside and inside; during the journey, the team works in protective masks and gloves, the conductors process the cars at least four times a day. Passengers are measured with an infrared thermometer.
The train departs from the Tomsk-II station at 12.34 local time, from the capital - at 22.25 (Moscow time).
