TOMSK, Dec 21 – RIA Tomsk. Income of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) from contracts with industrial partners for research and development (R&D) in 2020 amounted to 750 million rubles; this amount is comparable to last year, the pandemic did not affect the situation, TPU Vice-Rector for Technological Development and Entrepreneurship Artem Boev told reporters on Monday.
"This year Polytechnic University worked well with industrial partners, despite the fact that the year was not easy. We earned about 750 million rubles in the area of business contract activities. This figure is comparable to last year's figure, when there were no difficulties, no lockdowns", - Boev said at a press conference at the RIA Tomsk media center.
He added that at the moment about 750 contracts are being implemented at TPU, of which about 250 are new, concluded in 2020.
"Industrial partners also experience certain difficulties, but they understand that they cannot move forward without science. We work with large corporations - we do this successfully. As a certain trend, we see that we need to learn to work with small and medium-sized companies, we are paying quite serious attention to this now", - vice-rector noted.
