TOMSK, Mar 9 – RIA Tomsk. One of the enterprises of Sibagro company (one of the largest pork producers in Russia with a management company in Tomsk) – a pig farm in the Urals – has begun to supply its products to Hong Kong, the first batch of 27 tonnes of by-products has been sent, the company's press service reported on Tuesday.
"One of the enterprises of the Sibagro company, a pig farm in the Urals, has begun to supply its products to Hong Kong <...> The first consignment of exports from the pig farm to Hong Kong amounted to 27 tons of offal. In the future, deliveries are planned to be made monthly," – says the message.
According to the press service, the company began to develop its export direction in 2016, establishing cooperation with the Republic of Belarus, in 2017 – with Mongolia, in 2019 – with Vietnam. In 2021, the list of export deliveries has expanded.
"Our product is in demand in eastern countries, which is confirmed by the company's long-term cooperation with Mongolia and Vietnam: our partners are satisfied with both the quality and prices. Of course, there are some regulatory formalities that accompany export contracts. So, we received permission to export products to Hong Kong in May 2020, but we were able to send the products only now," – the head of the export sales department Georgy Cholokian is quoted in the message.According to Sibagro's website, today the holding consists of 11 manufacturing enterprises. These are seven pig breeding complexes - in the Tomsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen regions, in the Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Republic of Buryatia; three meat-packing plants in Tomsk, Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg and the Tomskaya poultry farm.
As the chairman of the board of Sibagro Andrey Tyutyushev reported earlier in an interview with RIA Tomsk, the company increased the export of pork by five times over the year.
