TOMSK, Aug 10 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) scientists developed a program complex which helps to provide a safe mode of power station in different conditions, the press service of higher education institution reports.
Carbon power plants are widespread around the world. The accidents connected to self-ignition and explosion of carbon dust are frequent there. Technological regulations for operation of thermal power plants were created 50-60 years ago, but quality of the used coal and property of fuel, the characteristic of the equipment changed since that time, it is marked in higher education institution.
"Research team was creating this software for two years. During this time scientists carried out a large number of experiments with different brands of coal fields of Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Tomsk regions, and also Krasnoyarsk Krai", – it is told in the message of TPU.
It is marked that any employee of a station can use the application. The basic information can be changed according with coal sort, fuel grinding level, etc.
"The software module evaluates possible risks with specific conditions of environment. The system allows to consider factors which either aren't regulated at all, or are regulated according to the standards which don't consider fully limit operating conditions of the equipment", – project manager Pavel Strizhak is quoted in the message.
The adapted for engineers application can notify experts on danger level by means of a luminous or sound signaling. The application has been already tested by employees of stations in Krasnoyarsk Krai and Kuzbass. Now scientists enhance a program complex according to wishes of experts.
