TOMSK, Sept
9 – RIA Tomsk. More than 70 scientists from Russia, China, Belarus and Finland
take part in the school-seminar "Photonics in Nano — and Microstructures"
which began work on Tuesday in Tomsk State University of Control Systems and
Radioelectronics (TUSUR), the press service of the higher education institution
reported.
It is
specified that the event began on Tuesday and will last till Friday. Scientists
from TUSUR actively research in the field of photonics, and also participate in
work of a profile technological platform together with an industrial partner.
"More
than 70 scientists of Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Blagoveshchensk,
Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Harbin and Dalian (China),
Minsk (Belarus), Koupio (Finland) take part in work of the third international
school-seminar "Photonics in Nano — and Microstructures", - it is
told in the message.

It is noted
that the following subjects will be discussed during the conference: photon
crystals and structures, nonlinear and optical materials, nanoheterostructures
and nanocomposites, semiconductor nano- and microstructures, nanometrology and
measuring systems, photon and quantum systems and devices, nano - and
biophotonics.
According
to the higher education institution, lectures of famous Russian and foreign
scientists, scientific reports and messages, poster reports are planned.

Schools in the latest scientific directions in this area are actively formed in
the Russian higher education institutions. Such sections of photonics as
optoelectronics, nonlinear optics, optical materials science and nanophotonics,
are components of one of the priority directions of scientific researches of
our university", - underlined in TUSUR.
