tour operators of Russia (ATOR) reports.
"In the cities, where there are no visa centers of Greece, but there
is an interest of tourists in this country, it is planned to open windows in
offices of banks, where it will be possible to hand over biometric data.

To visit Greece the Schengen visa is necessary. According to the new rules
existing since autumn of 2015, tourists have to be present personally at
submission of documents for Schengen – for delivery of biometrics (a digital
photo and fingerprints). It is necessary to hand over biometrics once in five
years. Now consulate generals and the visa centers of Greece work in 20 cities
of Russia, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk are next to Tomsk.
Thus, as the representative of one of travel agencies of Tomsk has
explained RIA Tomsk, if such window is created, residents of Tomsk won't need
to go to other city for submission of documents – it will be possible to make
it remotely. Now, according to her, there is such opportunity in Tomsk only for
those, who wish to receive the Italian visa.
It is noted in ATOR that now within early booking to Greece sales go at
moderate speed: at a number of the companies the volume of bookings advances
last year's indicators, at others it remains at the same level or is slightly
lower. Almost all interrogated participants of the market have noted that in
the last two weeks tourists became more active.
