© пресс-служба ТУСУР TOMSK, Mar 24 – RIA Tomsk. Scientists of Tomsk State University of
Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) developed the supply for
"Tomsk bulbs" – a new generation of LED lamps, which efficacy is
superior to the existing on the market 100-watt incandescent bulbs, the
press-service of the university informs on Thursday.
Earlier it was reported that the company "Rusled" (created on
the basis of Tomsk electrolamp factory, TELZ) will start production of bright
and energy-efficient LED lamps in the body of "Ilyich bulbs" in
collaboration with TUSUR scientists. TELZ released the first batch of lamps on
4,6 and 8 Watt, and for 10-watt light bulbs – the analogue of a popular
incandescent lamps on 100 Watt lamp – until recently there was no affordable
and quality power supply.
"To create <…> a really high-quality and affordable product,
it was decided to develop its own power supply which will be used in a batch
production. Now our innovative development is being tested, changes are made to
the design documentation, technological process of its production is to be
developed", – the press-service quoted the project head, the director of
TUSUR Research Institute of LED technology Vasily Tuev.

It is specified that the power supply for LED lamps of new generation will
be produced in Tomsk, and the production of 10 Watt bulbs themselves will begin
after the completion of the project in December of this year. All works are
carried out under the grant of the federal target program "Research and
Development".
"The design of the new lamp allows to keep uniformity of light
stream distribution and high color rendering index, as much as possible
approximated to sunlight. Thus our development is ten times more effective,
than available on the market now incandescent lamps", – supplemented Tuev.
