TOMSK, Apr 19 – RIA Tomsk. Scientists of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) will create for "Gazprom" a new filmless
defectoscope for quality check of welded seams on pipelines of the company; it
will be able to replace import analogs and will work at a temperature to 40
degrees below 0, the press service of the higher education institution reports
on Tuesday.
It is noted that the decision was made following the
results of meeting under the chairmanship of the head of Gazprom Alexey Miller
in Moscow, where the import substitution subject within interaction of the
company and universities was discussed. The vice rector of TPU for scientific
work and innovations Alexander Dyachenko told about development of the
equipment for radioscopic filmless control of welded seams of pipelines.
"Gazprom" uses import defectoscopes
(crawler) working at a temperature only to 25 degrees below 0. These crawlers
bring images to a x-ray film. <…> TPU develops radiation generators with
use only of domestic accessories and the original scheme of formation of a high
voltage increasing service life and allowing to work at a temperature to 40
degrees below 0", – press service quotes Dyachenko.

It is added that the TPU defectoscope will bring to
monitors all data in real time, while for full work of import analogs a
photolaboratory is necessary. Besides, the Russian equipment will be several
times cheaper than foreign.
"The cost of import analog makes about 12 million
rubles, the final cost of the domestic defectoscope will be at the level of 3
million rubles", – the press service of TPU notes.
It is specified that under the two-year contract TPU
will receive 70 million rubles on assembly of the pilot model of the
defectoscope. The development will be introduced in LLC Gazprom transgaz Tomsk,
laboratories of nondestructive control and the centers of technical diagnostics
of "Gazprom" at construction of the main gas pipelines.
