TOMSK, Apr 22 – RIA Tomsk. The investments of Chinese
business into Asinovsky timber industry park are now over 20 billion rubles,
and the total amount of investments into Tomsk timber processing complex are
estimated at 100 billion rubles, the governor Sergey Zhvachkin has reported,
submitting the annual report on work of the regional authorities.

On Friday Zhvachkin has reported to deputies of the
regional duma and the public on results of work of administration of the Tomsk
region in the past year, and also on plans for 2016.
Earlier it was reported that in the Tomsk region the
timber industry cluster is created with participation of the Chinese partners.
It will consist of two timber processing complexes – one of them is already
created in Asinovsky district, the memorandum of construction of the second –
Beloyarsk – is signed at the beginning of May, 2015 in the presence of heads of
the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China. The Chinese
investors – the companies Xinjiang Zhongtai Group, Xinjiang Fulida Fib.
"Last year together with the Deputy Prime
Minister Arkady Dvorkovich we have opened the first of 10 plants of the
Asinovsky timber industry park, largest in the country. Veneer production
capacity of 100 thousand cubic meters of products per year successfully works.
On the platform employs more than 2 thousand Russian experts and workers. Our
Chinese partners already invested 20 billion rubles in the project", - the
governor has reported.
He has also noted that with the Chinese investors is
handled the issue of creation of Beloyarsk timber processing complex which
basis have to be ecologically safe production of not bleached cellulose with
design capacity of 0,5 million cubic meters a year and plant of sawmilling. The
production itself and the accompanying work on logging will allow to create
more than four thousand jobs.
"We estimate the total amount of investments into
Tomsk timber processing complex at 100 billion rubles. We already create
workplaces in our taiga settlements where people didn't see them the last 20-25
years", – the governor has emphasized.
