training class for microsurgeons has opened in Tomsk on the basis of scientific
research institute of microsurgery, it is the first similar class in Russia,
the director of the institute Vladimir Baytinger has told journalists on Monday
at the opening ceremony of a class.
Earlier it was reported that the Japanese
manufacturing company of medical optics Meiji Techno will provide to Tomsk
scientific research institute of microsurgery the equipment for creation of the
simulation training class on supermicrosurgery. The first lectures and trial
studies were held in the framework of cooperation in Tomsk in November 2015.
"In Siberia there are no training centers, except
ours. In Russia it is the first training class opened together with Japan, the
equipment for it we have received absolutely for free", – Baytinger has
told.

According to him, the class is equipped with four
high-precision microscopes which allow to fulfill various manipulations with
vessels and nerves. All process is transmitted to the computer monitor. It is
expected that first "cadets" will arrive to training to Tomsk after
May holidays.
"Opening of such a training class – is a big step
forward, today microsurgery does not stand still, there is a development of
technologies, we will hope that such a class would be a good help for the
emergence of the professionals", – the deputy governor Chingis Akatayev
has added at the opening.
The special guest at the opening of the class was the
head of the department of plastic and reconstructive surgery at St. Petersburg
State Medical University Maria Voloh, who in May 2015 for the first time in
Russia conducted an operation on face transplantation.
"There is an optics of the highest class,
conditions of the training center will allow in the most comfortable way to
master skills <…> We at the university have no such optics, but we will
strive to do so, will try to send in Tomsk our employees to study", – she
said.
