TOMSK, May
19 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk scientists presented to the JSC "Russian Railways"
(RZD) their developments, including technology of creation of tunnels without
explosive, tomograph for rails, thermal power station (TPS) working on garbage,
and antirust for kettles. What developments are interested in the Russian
Railways – in material RIA Tomsk.
Prospection
On Thursday
in the Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) there has taken place a meeting at
which scientists of Tomsk universities have presented the innovative
developments to the management of the Russian Railways. In total within action
about ten projects have been shown.
"New
ideas, new developments are necessary for us. <…> In general I have heard
for myself efficient things which can have continuation. <…> In general a
spirit of me after our work is positive. We are still ready to formulate a
number of tasks we face to the Tomsk scientists. This is a little look into the
future", – the senior vice-president of JSC "Russian Railways"
Valentin Gapanovich told at the meeting.
For
production …
According
to Gapanovich, interest of the Russian Railways was caused, in particular, by
the project of the TPU scientists creating stationary and mobile installations
which by means of plasma safely utilize waste including toxic, in parallel
developing the thermal and electric power. According to developers, there are
no analogs of this installation in Russia.

Representatives
of the Russian Railways were interested also in the technology of
polytechnicians allowing to destroy designs from strong and high-strength
concrete, strong breeds and other similar materials without the use of
explosive – TPU offer to split the rock by electric discharges.
According
to the associate professor of the Department of High-voltage Electrophysics and
High-current Electronics TPU Artem Yudin the method doesn't demand the
termination of the works which are taking place a row: in contrast to the
explosion, the technology is not dangerous to others. One more of its advantage
is that process of destruction can be operated, regulating the power and the
number of discharges.
"At
the moment there is an installation, it is mobile and can be completely
autonomous, it is possible to be transported by vehicles with the capacity of
five tons or more, the radius (of the explosion) – up to 15 meters", –
Yudin told.
The
vice-president of the Russian Railways has charged to the assistants to check
this technology. "I don't promise 15 million, (necessary on the end of
researches), but if there is an effect (after tests) … The actual interest in
this is indeed", – he noted.
Also TPU
scientists presented the practices on nondestructive control. Thanks to the
betatrons created in the university it is possible to receive tomograms of
various objects of high resolution. In these pictures it is possible to see
cracks even several times more thinly than a human hair.
By means of
betatrons polytechnicians suggest the Russian Railways to check, for example,
quality of joints a rail or to look for defects in concrete designs.
Gapanovich
suggested to finish technology and to expand her opportunities. "We have
bridges of the 19th century, in the central Russia, we should not just reveal
(defects), but to understand survivability, stability (of bridges)", – he
noted.
… and for
life
Scientists
of Tomsk State University offered more "household" development – mean
of "Antirust" on the basis of glyoxal which effectively deletes a
rust from metal surfaces. Experts suggest to use it, in particular, for
cleaning of titans where water is heated in the carriages.
And Tomsk
State University of Architecture and Building (TSUAB) presented several types
of protection against noise.
"For
the railroad we did nothing. But for adjacent territories of the station
"Tomsk-1" we did several objects", – professor of TSUAB Sergey
Ovsyannikov told.
According
to him, means of a noise isolation can be established as at the railroad (near
the ways, in particular, special protections from concrete or other materials
are mounted), and directly in rooms.
"Protection
of rooms against noise are in different ways. We developed the whole line of
heat and sound insulating windows. They allow to provide noise reduction up to
45 decibels", – Ovsyannikov explained, having added that except
development of protective equipment, scientists of university also develop
cards of noise according to which it is possible to make the plan for noise
isolation measures competently.
As
Gapanovich reported following the results of the meeting, the most part of the
submitted projects to some extent is interesting to the Russian Railways. He
has charged to check part of developments to the staff of the West Siberian
Russian Railway branch. Following the results of examination it will be solved
whether the company will be able to apply these technologies, and whether the
Russian Railway should finance these projects.
