TOMSK, Jun 22 –
RIA Tomsk. Scientists of Tomsk State University
(TSU) created a robotic platform of the increased passability which can freely
climb the vertical plane, mined territory, snow, a bog and a water smooth
surface, the press service of the university reported on Wednesday.
It is specified that robot created by scientists of
the international laboratory of technical sight systems of the TSU innovative
technologies faculty together with LLC "Tekhnomag". According to
developers, potential scopes of the robot – are defense industry complex, the
Ministry of Emergency Situations, housing and communal services, oil and gas
branch, researches in difficult forwarding conditions and so on.
"The robot puts the minimum pressure upon soil
thanks to what it is capable to move across the mined territory, to make the
map of the minefields. <…> The robot is capable to climb freely the
vertical plane up to level of 10 floor and above, therefore it is possible to
use it with success in housing sector, for example, for diagnostics of
interpanel seams and roofs", – is said in the message.
It is added that ability to move on snow, a water
smooth surface, the marshy and woody district allows to use effectively
development of TSU scientific for the benefit of the Ministry of Emergency
Situations. For example, for search and rescue of victims on the open district and
in buildings, at rescue on water, for a mining of ice jams in the period of an
ice drift without a risky exit of the person to thin ice.
"Inspection of central gas and oil pipelines. Now
it is carried out by people who should work in almost impassable places. It
leads to big financial and time expenditure. The robot which developers call
DUSya (remotely-controlled system) can carry out diagnostic works, moving on
oil and gas pipelines", – the press service reported.
Being very light, the robot easily moves on snow. At
the same time it is capable to transport freight weighing up to 15 kilograms at
own dimensions in one cubic meter. Increasing the engine capacity and the sizes
of the robot, it is possible to increase its loading capacity.
