TOMSK, Jul 12 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) considers the possibility of cooperation with Israel in the sphere of innovations, in particular, foreign colleagues will be able to help to bring developments of Tomsk scientists to the international market, the rector of the university Eduard Galazhinsky reported RIA Tomsk on Tuesday.
Earlier it was reported that on July 12-13 the ambassador is on a working visit in Tomsk. In the program – is a meeting with the governor of the region Sergey Zhvachkin, visit of Tomsk State University, special economic zone and Tomsk synagogue. Also the diplomat will communicate to representatives of a local Jewish community.
"(Cooperation purpose)... is the development of innovative ecosystem and output to the international markets of developments of Tomsk scientists, not only university. <...> We understand that (at Israel) an ecosystem is very powerful, potential is very powerful, experience and practices too. And in this way we are interested in association of efforts in this area. They have an infrastructure and experience, we have ideas and projects", – Galazhinsky told journalists following the results of a meeting with the ambassador.
He noted that TSU also plans to develop cultural and educational ties with Israel. "We have roots, there are people, there are works, interest in language, and in this sense, of course, both parties are interested in strengthening of this interaction and creation of the developed educational center in the field of studying of language, culture and so on", – the rector explained.
In turn the ambassador of Israel noted that all presented areas of work of TSU interested him, however the emphasis on new technologies seemed to the most perspective. "The university places emphasis on innovations, the technological sphere that at us is developed too. I think that it is necessary to begin with it", – Heifetz told.
