TOMSK, Aug 5 – RIA
Tomsk. Citizens of Mozambique,
Bolivia and Rwanda for the first time entered Tomsk universities, the press
service of the regional administration reported on Friday.
Earlier it was reported that at the moment
applications to Tomsk universities were submitted by 4,3 thousand foreigners.
The vast majority of them – are citizens of the neighboring countries. Besides,
from 41 foreign countries there arrived 325 entrants. Transfer of foreigners at
universities of Tomsk goes according to the special schedule and hasn't come to
the end yet.
"This year young people from such exotic
countries as Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Mozambique, Rwanda went to the Tomsk
universities", – is said in the message. The exact quantity arrived and
also to what universities they come, isn't specified.

According to the regional administration, leaders in
number of the students who arrived this year from foreign countries – are
Tomsk Polytechnic University (97 people),
Tomsk State University (84 entrants) and
Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building (76 foreigners).
As the deputy governor on scientific educational
complex and innovative policy Mikhail Sonkin reported on Friday on a round
table in the RIA Tomsk media center, the last academic year representatives of
Tomsk universities worked in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan,
Mongolia, India, China, Vietnam, Laos, Great Britain, Indonesia.
In his opinion, these explained surge in interest from
entrants of these countries students.
Earlier it was reported that citizens of foreign
countries go to the Tomsk universities to study electrical equipment, oil and
gas business, languages, natural sciences, mechanical engineering, philosophy, architecture
and more.
