TOMSK, Aug 18 – RIA Tomsk. Leading Russian experts
will discuss new space development technologies, extraction of hard resources,
subjects related to robotics at the first international forum on resource
efficiency, which will be held at Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) in September,
the press service of the university reported on Thursday.
"Tomsk Polytechnic University creates a new international platform
focused on generation of new ideas, approaches and decisions in the sphere of
resource-efficient technologies in modern life, economy and society. <…>
TPU is not by chance became the platform for the forum, the university is not
for the first year the center of superiority in the field of a resource
efficiency is", – is said in the message.

It is specified that subjects of development of resource-saving and
energy efficiency in Russia and the world will come under the spotlight of
participants of the forum: nuclear medicine, new technologies for space
exploration, resource-efficient power, hardly removable natural resources (oil,
gas, water), robotics for the solution of production and social tasks.
"If we lose to our world competitors, then first of all in
irrational use of resources. We spend in comparison with the advanced countries
two-three times more resources per unit of production – material, financial,
human, time. <…> It is time to do a resource efficiency the part of our
national mentality", – quoted in the message the rector of TPU Petr Chubik.
According to the university, the forum will become a platform for
exchange of experience for experts in the field of resource-efficient
technologies, promotion of high-tech projects and developments, discussion the
modernization of the world economy with the development of resource-efficient
technologies and sustainable development.
It is added that organizers of the forum – are TPU, the Russian Academy
of Sciences and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian
Federation. The leading Russian experts, including the president of the Russian
Academy of Sciences (RAS) Vladimir Fortov, the first deputy minister of Energy
Alexey Teksler, the head of the KUKA RUS company Ivan Yermolaev,
representatives of the companies "Rosgeologiya", "Rosseti",
"Rosnano", "Gazprom", "Gazprom Neft" and others
will get together for the forum which will take place on September 6.
