Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) develop
the device for bystry production of printed circuit boards which can be used
both in small laboratories, and in house conditions, the press service of the university
reported on Thursday.
"The device working by the principle of the 3D-printer will allow
quickly and cheap to manufacture printed circuit boards in small laboratories,
including, multilayered, flexible. It will significantly simplify the process of
creation of prototypes of the new electronic equipment at a design stage and,
as a result, will reduce time of development and release of new electronic
production", – is said in the message.

As the press service with reference to the project manager Anton
Loshchilov specifies, the developed device is capable to apply on a substrate
both conductive, and dielectric functional solutions that can be used for
production of multilayered printed circuit boards "at a time" –
without the need of layers pressing. Time of a full cycle of production of a
board will make 10-15 minutes.
"Besides increase in speed and decrease in labor costs, one more
advantage of development is its environmental friendliness and safety in
comparison with the traditional technologies using chemical etching. In the
device developed by TUSUR the method of additive drawing is used, therefore it
will be possible to work with it even in house conditions ", – the press
service notes.
It is added that now developers designed the device model. Pilot studies
and optimization of its technological modes are conducted. At this stage
developers solve such problems as increase in uniformity of parameters of
films, increase in accuracy of dispensing of the used ink, and also the issue
with automation of filling the printing system is resolved.
