TOMSK, Sep 23 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) became the associated member of collaboration of the LHCb experiment, made at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), is reported on Friday on the website of the university.
Earlier it was reported that scientists of the university became official members of collaboration of RD51 of CERN which is engaged in technological development of microstructural gas detectors, development of the software and electronics necessary for their functioning, and promotes expansion of industrial use of detectors in the industry.
"LHCb (Large Hadron Collider beauty experiment) – is one of four main detectors at the LHC. The experiment is made for the research of asymmetry of matter and anti-matter in interactions of b-quarks. As participants of an experiment the polyequipment will work on modernization of the LHCb track detector and to carry out mathematical modeling of a number of the experiments made at LHCb", – is said in the message.
