Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) prepares the agreement
with Laos on deliveries of the equipment, developed by university - mine
detectors, 3D-microtomographs and scout robots, the director of the TSU
scientific and educational center "Recognition: navigation, diagnostics,
mechatronic" Vladimir Syryamkin reported RIA Tomsk.
Earlier it was reported that the delegation of TSU
worked in Laos on November 2-7. Representatives of the university signed the
memorandum of understanding with the Laotian ministry of science and
technology, and also agreed about the organization of the TSU research station
and discussed increase of quotas for students from Laos.
According to Syryamkin who worked on the delegation,
now the management of the university prepares one more agreement with the
ministry of science and technology of Laos, this time – is about delivery of
the developments of university shown within the visit.

"The first - is a portal for the government of
Laos with a mobile application, the second – is the robot wheel which can move
in the fighting area and analyze a situation, including hard-to-reach spots.
The third – is 3D-microtomograph, the medical device which allows to diagnose
human organs and to display in 3D color images", – the interlocutor of the
agency told.
Syryamkin added that also the university plans to
deliver mine detectors to Laos. "At present all in a stage of execution of
documentation", – he noted, without specifying when it is planned to sign
the contract.
As the rector of TSU Eduard Galazhinsky reported to
RIA Tomsk, cooperation with Laos means a lot to the university. "This
country is loyal to Russia, such influential countries as China and Vietnam
look for the good relations with it", – the rector emphasized.
