28 – RIA Tomsk. The online course of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU)
"The Engineering of the Future" started on the Russian open education
platform "Lektorium"; on this course were declared representatives of
other countries, interested in 3D-models design of the space equipment, the
press service of the university reports on Monday.
According
to the press service, the online course designed for school students of the
senior classes is developed by group of authors of five institutes of TPU with
financial support of PJSC Gazprom. The course is free, for participation it is
only necessary to be registered. Course duration – is five weeks. The school
students who successfully ended a course will receive the certificate from
Lektorium and additional points at receipt in TPU.
"About
one and a half thousand people from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Czech Republic
already signed up for this course. <…> They will be able to learn how to
earn in a cyberspace and will try to design 3D-models of elements of the space
equipment, having tried on themselves engineering professions of the future",
– is said in the message.

It is noted
that besides video lectures, traditional for such courses, and test tasks,
students are expected to be in fascinating travel to the world of inventive
tasks and a set of other creative tasks. And students of TPU – future engineers
and participants of University team of KVN will acquaint listeners with the
modern engineering world.
It is
added, that on the course created for school students were also registered
students of different Russian higher education institutions, teachers of
schools, and just people who are interested in modern engineering. Those who
haven't registered yet have an opportunity to make it till December 1 on the
page of the course.
