Jan 11 – RIA Tomsk, Evgenia Plankina. The wooden busts of the legendary The Beatles
band created by the Tomsk sculptor Leonti Usov will be handed to the fund of
the band's Liverpool museum only at the beginning of March, but not at the end
of winter as it was planned earlier, the director of the project Andrey Olear
reported to RIA Tomsk on Wednesday.
Earlier it was reported that celebration of the day of
release of the "White Album" and a concert with Paul McCartney's
participation was planned on November 22, 2016 in the museum of Liverpool The
Beatles Story devoted to the band. The sculptor Usov had to donate the museum
the busts of "the Liverpool four" executed by him from a cedar. The
trip was postponed to January-February because of problems with visas.
"The event (concert and handover of busts – Ed.)
is set to March 1 in Liverpool, and the dress rehearsal in the
beautiful student's city Preston at the University of Central Lancashire is
planned for February 28", – Olear told, having specified that the
Tomsk creative group is in a stage of issuing of visas again now.
According to open sources, the museum The Beatles
Story is open in 1990. Earlier there was a club where legendary collective gave
the first concert in Great Britain in 1961, and they performed there 292 times
in total. The scenic artifacts, photos belonging to the musicians are collected
in the museum; the atmosphere of the era of that time is recreated. Tourists of
the whole world visit the museum.
