TOMSK, Feb 15 – RIA Tomsk. Experts of Skolkovo
Foundation defined nine projects finalists of the first stage of the Open
Innovations Startup tour-2017 program which come to the end in Tomsk; among
winners – there are four Tomsk projects, the press service of the Foundation
reported RIA Tomsk on Wednesday.
Two competitive days
The first stage of the Open Innovations Startup tour program passed at
the Tomsk State University (TSU). Within two days participants from
Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk and Omsk presented 30 developments on industrial,
biological and IT areas.
Before a competition the ideologist of Open Innovations Startup tour and
the adviser to the president Skolkovo Pekka Viljakainen addressed participants
and shared with them his thoughts on how to create a high-tech business.
"Believe, in each country people consider that it is the best of
all to create business in the big city, but actually it not so. In Tomsk there
are all conditions for your success. The main thing that universities give
strong support to young businessmen. There are many successful representatives
of business and the academic environment who will be able to become mentors for
your startup", – the press service of the Foundation quotes his words.
"Our university is proud of the fact that it became the venue for
such an event. For university it is very important to give support to young
businessmen. We hope that we will be able to promote that in our Siberian
Athens there were more and more talented Pythagors", – the vice rector on
innovative activity of TSU Konstantin Belyakov commented.

The first, second and third places in the IT-track were taken by
residents of Tomsk. The leader of the direction is Juliya Loboda with the
"Control system of extremities distal part artificial limbs" project
which helps at control of artificial limbs, training in work with the
neurointerface and synchronization of movements of extremities.
"It is worth participating in Startup tour at least because you
will not receive so much useful criticism anywhere. The main thing that everything
passes at a very positive level. It become clear where there are weak points in
the project and what it is necessary to pay attention to first of all. In
addition to that experts give feedback on the project, they help to believe in
yourselves and in your team", – is quoted Loboda in the message of the
press service of Skolkovo.
Vladimir Vesnin with the project "Correct posture 2.0: the first
exercise machine of posture with feedback" became the second in a track,
on the third place – is Alexander Uvarov with the "Personal cardiograph
ECG-express" project.
Industrial technologies
In an industrial track the first and second places – at residents of
Novosibirsk. Elena Ryabykh became the first with the "Technology of
receiving a modified nanostructured carbon material for supercondensers with a
high density of stored energy" project. On the second place is Andrey
Fedyukin who presented to experts "Geotechnology of underground civil
engineering".
Experts awarded the third place to the Krasnoyarsk project
"Electropulse method of frost removal from high-voltage transmission lines
wires", which was submitted by the employee of the Krasnoyarsk institute
of railway transport Valentina Ratushnyak.
As she told RIA Tomsk, for several years at the institute is conducted a
development of generators of pulse currents on JOLT technology. On the basis of
this technology the team of the project develops devices for removal of frost
by an electropulse method.

The project manager noted that the existing methods of removal of ice
from wires, for example, heating and mechanical removal, are expensive and can
lead to damage of a wire and accessories. The Krasnoyarsk scientists expect
that the way created by them will favourably differ from existing.
"Our device is the small box of low power consumption fixed between
wires. It receives power directly from a wire by a contactless method. On a
signal from the control panel or from the sensor the device causes strong
stirring for 200 (microsec) of microseconds with very small movement. For one
impulse in 500 kilograms the device needs only 60 joules (J)", – told
Ratushnyak.
Thus, ice just breaks away, at the same time the wire and accessories
aren't injured. The project manager emphasized that work doesn't require
shutdown of the power line. "The cost of one device will make about 30
thousand rubles, and on 25 kilometers 250 JOLT devices with a total cost of 7,5
million rubles are required. For comparison – one device for heating of the
power line costs 112 million", – added Ratushnyak.
According to her, the team of the project starts research works
(Research and development) and looks for investors.
The expert of the Tomsk Distribution Company (PJSC TRK) which become one
of the regional partners of startup tour commented on development of the
Krasnoyarsk scientists.

"The project is interesting, development necessary for areas with
high icing – for the power line, for example, of Krasnodar Krai. In the Tomsk
region the problem isn't urgent, we are in areas with low formation of frost.
Development is new, there are no analogs presented in the Russian Federation,
as far as I know. I think, it will be demanded if all declared characteristics
are confirmed", – the head of department of technological development and
innovation of PJSC TRK Oleg Safronov considers.
Biomedical technologies
The scientist from Novosibirsk Mikhail Chechenin took the first place in
a biomedical track with the "Medical and rehabilitation transforming
bed" project. On the second place – is the developer from Krasnoyarsk
Konstantin Kistersky who submitted the "3D pronting of bioengineering
analogs of bone structures" project. The third place jury awarded to the
resident of Tomsk Alyona Chernyshova for the project "Optimization of the
method of organ preservation treatment at patients with carcinoma of uterine
cervix".
Winners are waited by two more stages – Startup Village (will take place
in Moscow in June, 2017) and the forum "Open Innovations" where they
will present finished products to recognized experts in the field of
technologies and development of business. Besides, participants have an
opportunity to find investors and win prizes from partners of the program.
