© РИА Томск. Павел Стефанский TOMSK, Mar 15 – RIA Tomsk. Scientists of Tomsk State University (TSU) develop a computing cloud platform which will help engineers
to accelerate development of elements of the space equipment, is reported on
Wednesday on the website of the university.
It is specified that the platform will allow users to start the solution of set
of typical tasks for gas dynamics and to obtain results in a graphical form
without loading your computer. Analogs of similar computing systems are either
very "heavy", and for their installation it is necessary to have the
powerful computer, or don't provide the convenient interface. The project is
supported by the "UMNIK" program of the Fund for assistance to
innovations.
"We create a convenient working tool where all calculations are taken out
in a cloud, and on the computer of the user only the graphic interface is
installed, which is not more complicated than the browser, where the input of
basic data and management are presented in simple and intuitively
understandable form", – the project manager Konstantin Dobrychev is quoted
in the message.

According to him, the development will be useful, first of all, in daily work
to the engineers involved in aircraft construction and rocket production. Use
of the distributed calculations in a cloud platform will allow to unload
computers of experts for performance of other tasks.
Dobrychev explained that users will receive the client application by means of
which they will be able to enter data of tasks on the computer or the laptop,
to operate process of the decision, and after its completion to download the
results in a convenient form, including reports, graphs and 3D images.
In two years it is planned to create a computing kernel and "to
teach" it to solve typical problems of gas dynamics. Scientists will work
out the user interface, instruments for preparing and displaying of tasks,
processings of results, will establish cooperation between the client application
and cloud platform. Thus, the program prototype will be created. Developers
plan that the cost of their product will be cheaper than similar programs.
