TOMSK, Mar 17 – RIA Tomsk. The visit of the minister of happiness of the Kingdom of Bhutan to
Tomsk is expected on March 30-31, the vice-president of the Tomsk branch of the
Russian Geographical Society (RGS) Evgeny Kovalevsky reported RIA Tomsk on
Friday.
Earlier it was reported that the Tomsk branch of RGS in January, 2016
signed the cooperation agreement with the head of the ministry of happiness of
the Asian country of Bhutan within the framework of which the minister of
happiness planned to visit Tomsk. The agreement was concluded during a trip of
the Tomsk traveler Evgeny Kovalevsky to Bhutan.
According to him, in the delegation of Bhutan to Russia will arrive the
minister of happiness Dordzhe Pendzho, the happiness expert Tsoki Zangmo and
the deputy minister on tourism Dam Che Rinzin.
"The idea was born a year ago when I visited the Kingdom of Bhutan. I
tried to understand how they can be happy, without having anything, except rice
and water. We corresponded within a year and agreed with the ministry of
happiness that they will arrive to Russia. It is very difficult – it is the
first contact of Bhutan and Russia", – Kowalewski told.

He specified that at first representatives of the ministry will visit
Moscow where in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation there will take
place the exhibition devoted to the Kingdom of Bhutan and the round table
"Russia – Bhutan. Humanitarian cooperation". "As humanitarian it
is understood cultural … general educational and volunteer (cooperation). Now
it is absent", – the interlocutor of the agency noted.
Kovalevsky added that representatives of the ministry will arrive to Tomsk
on March 30-31. "Here the press conference is planned, and we plan to sign
the contract on scientific cooperation – at them recently the first university
opened. Our interest is to know, how they could cultivate the worldview that
they are all happy", – he told, having added that also in Tomsk there will
pass the round table "Siberia and Bhutan: territory of happiness".
According to open sources, the Kingdom of Bhutan is in Asia, between China
and India, has about 700 thousand people. Official religion of the state – is
Tantric Buddhism. The government of the country declares aspiration to
happiness of each citizen as the main goal, it is enshrined in the
Constitution. The ministry of happiness officially works in the
country.
