TOMSK, Apr 12 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) within strategic partnership with the Rocket and Space Corporation Energia (RSC Energia) plans to conduct training and experiments at the International Space Station (ISS), the director of Research Institute of Automation and Electromechanics Victor Rulevsky said on Wednesday.
According to the university, TUSUR and RSC Energia signed an agreement, "which implies achieving a competitive advantage in priority interdisciplinary educational, scientific and technological areas aimed at innovative development of the Russian Federation".
"Within the framework of this agreement, there are a number of areas: from training, joint work on robotics, using our ground-based test equipment (for systems used in spacecrafts – Ed.)", – said Rulevsky at a press conference in the media center of RIA Tomsk.
He explained that cooperation between RSC Energia and the university implies working with communication, power and control systems, radar and other equipment intended for inhabited and uninhabited spacecrafts.
"Also the possibility of carrying out a row of experiments on the ISS platform is studied. We are preparing proposals which we will soon form and send to RSC Energia", – Rulevsky marked.
As specified in the press service of the university, RSC Energia and TUSUR plan to create a unified innovative scientific and educational infrastructure with the use of the material resources, equipment and human resources of the university and corporation, implementation of educational initiatives (for example, holding the school competition on robotics in the city of Korolev, Moscow region).
