TOMSK, Apr 21 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU)
and Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic) to organize in the summer of
2017 a joint school to study English; everyone will be able to register for the
training, which will take place both in Russia and in Europe, the manager of
the Language Learning Resource Center TPU Irina Gerasimchuk reported RIA Tomsk.
According to her, from June 30 to July 21 participants of school will learn
English at the Tomsk Polytechnic University and Charles University in Prague.
Among participants – there are students, employees of universities and other
organizations of Tomsk with knowledge of the language no lower than A2.
"Joint linguistic school – is the unique project of the language school
"Kosmopolit" of the Language Learning Resource Center of Institute of
Social and Humanitarian Technologies (ISHT) TPU, because it allows to study
English at once in two leading universities of Russia and Europe, which enter
the international university rating QS World University Rankings", – said

As it was reported earlier, in 2016 TPU for the first time entered the number
of the best universities in the world – it took the 400th place in the world
rating QS (Quacquarelli Symonds). According to Polytechnic University, Charles
University in Prague takes the 302nd place in this rating.
According to Gerasimchuk, the program of joint linguistic school is 60 academic
hours and includes two stages: a week of intensive training in English at the
TPU and two weeks of training in Prague. The group to the Czech Republic will
be accompanied by a teacher of TPU.
Classes at the school are given by highly qualified teachers of Tomsk
Polytechnic University and other higher education institutions which have the
international certificates, and also experts – native speakers from Charles
University. At the end of the training participants will pass test and will
receive two certificates at once. "We invite all comers to join this
international project. Applications are accepted online till May 15", –
said Gerasimchuk.
