TOMSK, May 24 – RIA Tomsk. The number of voluntary immigrants to the Tomsk
region under the federal program "Compatriots" for the year of its
action amounted to 329 people, they came from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan,
Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, the press service of the regional administration said
on Wednesday.
Earlier it was reported that the program "Compatriots" started
in the Russian Federation in March 2016.The Tomsk region was among the
participating regions. Participants of the program can be the compatriots
working by the professions demanded in the Tomsk region, or engaged in business
and investment activities, as well as migrants recognized as refugees or
granted temporary asylum in the Russian Federation.
"The participants of the program who arrived to the Tomsk region
work on demanded in the region specialties in the fields of health, education,
economics and finance and construction. Among the compatriots who have already
received certificates, 200 have higher education, 129 people have secondary
vocational education", – the press service quotes the head of the regional
Labour and Employment Department Svetlana Gruznykh.

It is specified that in a year to the Tomsk region under the program
"Compatriots" for permanent place of residence arrived citizens of
Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
The press service explains that at the expense of the federal budget,
the participants of the program receive a one-time grant for the arrangement
and compensation of travel expenses, expenses for payment of state duty for
registration of documents and import of personal property.
From the means of the regional budget they are paid a one-time financial
aid for the organization of business, vocational training, compensation of
expenses for medical examination. In addition, the participants of the program,
who found themselves in a difficult life situation, can count on a one-time
material assistance, before they register the Russian Federation citizenship.
