TOMSK, Jun 21 – RIA Tomsk. Undergraduates of
department of engineering business of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) have
for the first time defended the final thesis in the form of startups, having
presented really working business to the commission, the press service of the
university reports on Wednesday.
It is specified that the
master program "Business in Innovative Activity" is constructed in
TPU in such a way that undergraduates generate the idea of the innovative
enterprise project in the first semester, and then work through its components.
As a result the most active and interested students receive the working
business, potential partners and investors who are also found during study.
"Two master dissertations
in the form of startups were defended. The topic of one of them is
"Introduction of the innovative project "Club of Virtual
Reality" in the market of the city of Tomsk". The second one is
"Innovative ways of advance of construction goods on the example of LLC
Center of Decorative Coverings, – the head of the department of engineering
business Stepan Hachin is quoted in the message.

It is noted that the projects
were estimated by the invited experts in the sphere of business and heads of
structures of support of the innovative companies who unanimously estimated the
projects with excellent grade. High level of their conversion became one of
indicators of success of the projects – it is number of using the advertising
link to the website of the company. Their level was approximately five times
higher, than average on the market.
It is added that the idea of
creation of startups by graduates of universities as theses is actively
discussed in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
Similar practice can be introduced in 2019. Creation of venture funds with
participation of universities, their graduates and the partner companies for
the help to student's startups is in plans. TPU is one of the first in Russia
which checked the idea in practice.
